Dear Cold Spring School Families,
Cold Spring is alive with energy, connection, and learning! Parent-teacher conferences are this week—these conversations are so valuable in ensuring each child’s growth and success. We appreciate your partnership in their learning journey.
Our 2nd Grade students had the incredible opportunity to experience Living Legends last Friday, a celebration of culture and storytelling that truly brought history to life. It’s always fun to see our students present their unique storytelling to personalize their learning experience and feel inspired.
We also welcomed Sowah Mensah, an internationally recognized musician and educator, for our African Drum Residency. The sound of drums filled our campus as students explored rhythm, movement, and the power of music to connect us all. A huge thank you to Sara DiSalvo who made this experience possible!
Earlier this week, I traveled to Sacramento for ACSA’s Legislative Action Day, where I had the opportunity to meet with state leaders to advocate for policies that support our students, teachers, and schools. Ensuring a bright future for Cold Spring School remains a top priority, and I’m grateful for the chance to represent our wonderful community at the state level.
And Spring Break is just around the corner! There will be no school next week March 24 - 28, and the school office will be closed on Friday, March 28. I hope you all enjoy a refreshing break and have an opportunity to reconnect with your children, family, and friends.
Wishing you a wonderful start to the Spring season—see you back on campus soon!
Warmly,
Dr. Amy Alzina
