I am thrilled to share that the Firework Foundation, Katy Perry, donated $68,406.91 to support the Music Program at Cod Spring School. In addition, the SB Bowl Foundation presented me with a donation check for $31,500 which gives us a combined total of $99,906.91 to support the performing arts. These funds combined with the funds we received from the Cold Spring School Foundation last spring are making our robust performing arts program possible this year. We are extremely fortunate to have a full-time music teacher, part-time drama instructor and a part-time Band instructor to support our child’s love of music and the arts! I want to give a BIG thank you to Rick Boller, CSS Parent and Executive Director to the SB Bowl Foundation, for serving as an advocate for all 168 children at Cold Spring School! Labor Day Just a reminder that there is NO School on Monday, September 3rd as we celebrate Labor Day. Principal’s Coffee I will be hosting my first informal Principal’s coffee on Tuesday, September 4th at 8:30am in the Dolphin center. The agenda is designed to serve as a meet and greet and an opportunity to connect with new and old faces. Please know that my coffee chats are very kid friendly so please feel free to bring your little ones. Back-to-School Night Save the date: Wednesday, September 5th, beginning at 6 pm. All families are encouraged to attend our annual Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, September 5th beginning at 6 pm in the Auditorium. I will introduce this year’s staff and share how we all are continuing to work towards instilling the three basic elements of intrinsic motivation -- PLAY, PASSION and PURPOSE -- in every child. My presentation will be followed by a visit to your child’s/children’s classroom(s) where every teacher will be presenting his/her year long plans and goals for your child.
