Dear Cold Spring School Families,
It’s been a busy week. At Cold Spring School’s Board Meeting on Monday, we discussed key initiatives to support our students, staff, and learning experiences. Thank you to those who attended and continue to stay engaged in our school’s future!
With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, there’s a lot of excitement on campus! Some of our classrooms are hard at work designing leprechaun traps—we’ll see if any lucky leprechauns make an appearance on Monday! ☘️
Next week is a great opportunity for parents and teachers to connect and discuss student learning during parent-teacher conferences. As a reminder, we will have early dismissal all week during conferences, and the Dolphin Center will be available after dismissal:
TK & Kindergarten: 1:00 PM
Grades 1-6: 1:15 PM
Please send an extra snack for your child, as snack time will remain on its regular schedule.
Coming up:
Our 2nd Grade Living Legends Presentation is on Friday – They’ve been studying historical figures who have made a difference in the world over the past month, and we can’t wait to see their representations!
Leader in Me Conference – Mr. Francisco, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Campbell, and Mrs. Carey will be representing Cold Spring School at the regional “Leader in Me” conference down in Los Angeles this week. Grounded in the enduring principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® and The 4 Disciplines of Execution®, Leader in Me has contributed to our school-wide culture of inclusive leadership, empowering students and educators to thrive.
One final note: the Saddle Up Soiree, our Gala to benefit Cold Spring School, will now start at 5:30pm on May 3rd (instead of 6pm as previously noted).
With rain in the forecast, I hope you all stay warm and dry this weekend.
Happy early St. Patty’s Day!
Warmly,
Dr. Amy Alzina
Superintendent/Principal
