Cold Spring School has had a flurry of activities this week. On behalf of our staff, students, and families, I hope you feel proud to be a part of our community and everything we do here.
What's on everyone's mind right now? Who won the Read-A-Thon, of course. Our school spent 93,352 minutes reading - WOW - and raised over $24,000! Congratulations to Mrs. Wooten’s class with the most minutes and Mrs. Orwig’s class for the most sponsors. See our post below for the individual student prizes. Great job, everyone!
The lululemon Community Run & Walk had a great turnout on Monday evening. It was so fun to see everyone who came out, and we had a blast connecting with each other.
Our staff and students have also been imagining, creating, and rehearsing their performances for our upcoming Variety Show today. Please join us and support our rising stars as they share their talents with us Wednesday at 4pm. "Break a leg!" as they say in the theatre!
I'd also love it if you'd join me for a Principal's Coffee first thing on the CSS campus Monday morning, February 10th, at 8:30am. I'll be sharing out our 2024-2025 Comprehensive Safety Plan that is reviewed by our School Site Council, Board, Law Enforcement, and Fire Chief. Let's share a cup of coffee and take a moment to slow down and connect.
Finally, we have had some new faces join us for various reasons over the last month. Adjusting to a new school and city can be challenging, especially if it's a sudden change, so let's show our new students and families how warm our Cold Spring School community is so they feel welcome and at home here.
