Fire Support

Dear Community,

In response to the recent Pacific Palisades fire and its impact on our neighboring communities, Cold Spring School has partnered with the County of Santa Barbara Behavioral Wellness to provide support to all families affected by this tragedy. We understand the challenges faced during these trying times and are committed to offering our support and facilities to help those in need.

Here are the upcoming events and services we are offering at Cold Spring School:

  • Free Trauma Counseling, Play and Community

    • Playground, Pizza, and Support:

      • Date: Thursday, January 9th

      • Time: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

      • Come join us for an afternoon of play and relaxation. Enjoy our playground, complimentary pizza, and snacks. Trauma-informed counselors will be on-site to provide support and meet with families as needed.

    • Free Cold Spring School Kids Day Camp and Counseling Services:

      • Date: Friday, January 10th

      • Time: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

      • We are hosting a special day camp filled with activities such as STEAM, art, music, sports, and drama (Much Gratitude to our Amazing Specialist Teachers!). This is a wonderful opportunity for children to engage in fun and educational activities while providing a sense of normalcy. All evacuated students are welcome to join us. Please RSVP at 805-969-2678.

Location: Cold Spring Elementary School, 2243 Sycamore Canyon Rd., Santa Barbara, CA 93108

These events are open to all families who have been affected by the fire. We hope to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can engage positively while allowing parents some respite.

We are here for each other as a community, especially during difficult times. Let’s come together to support those in need and show the strength and compassion of our Cold Spring family.

Warm regards,

Dr. Amy Alzina
