Dear Cold Spring School Parents,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who were able to attend our Back to School Night! It was wonderful to connect with so many of you and share the exciting plans and initiatives we have for the 2024-25 school year.
For those of you who couldn’t join us, I’ve attached the presentation for your review. Here are a few key highlights from the evening:
Our Mission and Vision: At Cold Spring School, we are committed to providing every child with the opportunity to be successful each day. Our mission continues to focus on balancing academic achievement with personal development and fostering creativity, social responsibility, and a lifelong love for learning.
LCAP & Strategic Goals: Our goals include fostering a project-based approach to teaching and learning, increasing community engagement, and continuing to promote a positive school culture and climate.
New Initiatives: We’re thrilled to introduce several new programs, including an AI-powered learning assistant called Khanmigo for personalized student support, as well as a Digital Citizenship Program to help students develop critical online safety skills.
Mental Health Resources: We're dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of both students and families. Please explore the resources from ParentGuidance.org for valuable insights into addressing mental health challenges.
Specialist Programs: From Art and Garden Education to STEAM, Music and PE classes, we are fortunate to have an incredible team of specialist teachers working collaboratively to create meaningful and enriching experiences for our students.
Parent Involvement: There are numerous ways to get involved at Cold Spring School, including volunteering with the Parent Club, Foundation, Running Club, and more. Additionally, your financial support plays a crucial role in maintaining the world-class education we provide.
I encourage you to review the attached presentation for further details and information. As always, we appreciate your ongoing partnership and support.
Warm regards,
Dr. Alzina
