Music Residency Information: Friday March 3rd

We invite you to come and observe our Music Residency this Friday March 3rd. We will have chairs set-up around the circumference of the auditorium for you to come and watch your child.

Important: No School for Students: March 6th, Professional Development Day for Staff

Reminder: There is no school for students on Monday, March 6th due to a Professional Development Day for our Teachers.


Student Council Newspaper Collection Fundraiser: March 13th - 17th

Student Council is collecting newspapers to benefit B.U.N.S. (local bunny shelter), March 13th through March 17th. Drop off the donations outside of room 15 (Ms. Schaupeter’s classroom).


Parent/Teacher Conferences and Early Dismissal: March 20 - March 24

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be March 20 - 24. There will be an all school early dismissal all week. Kindergarten dismissed at 1pm. 1st grade - 6th grade dismissed at 1:15pm. Dolphin Center will be available for all grades directly after dismissal.


Spring Break, No School: March 24 - March 31 

School will be closed the week of March 24 - March 31. Please enjoy the holiday!


Cold Spring Foundation Auction Event!

Purchase your tickets early before the ticket price increases.  The Foundation is also looking for big items for the auction.  They would love a vacation home to auction off.  Please contact our Foundation President, Melissa McCann, if you have an item to donate at melissmccann@gmail.com.  


Our Lost and Found is Overflowing! 

The lost and found is overflowing with jackets and sweaters! If you haven’t seen items from your child's closet, chances are they are in the lost and found at Cold Spring! The lost and found is in the hallway of the school if you would like to take a look.


Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Enrollment, 2023-24 School Year

Incoming TK/Kindergarten Enrollment is happening now! Please contact the office to start the enrollment process so we can begin planning for the 2023-2024 school year. The Transitional Kindergarten window has been extended.  If your child's 5th birthday falls between September 2nd and April 2nd, they qualify for Transitional Kindergarten.  If you know anyone who is interested in taking a school tour, our next tour date is: Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 9:00 AM

Description: "Rockin' Reading" is a fun summer reading club designed to keep reading skills sharp and enthusiasm high for our young and wonderful readers. There will be word games, songs, dance, stories, and reading buddies. Classes are taught by Mrs. Lewis with special guest readers (upper graders) on occasion.  

Additional note:  You may register for any number of days/weeks. Just indicate the days you plan to have your child attend so that materials prepared for them.

Description:  Focus is on strengthening and solidifying essential grade level reading, writing, and math skills.  A core component of each day will be working on foundational skills, there will also be some fun and exciting thematic elements to make for an engaging and meaningful learning experience each day. 

*Everyone is encouraged to attend all three Sessions, however, if that does not work for your summer plans you can sign up for individual sessions. 

Teachers will be emailing parents of individual students to sign-up for Kindergarten and 1st Grade Summer School.


Current 2nd Grade: Reading/Writing/Math & Knitting, Oh My!

Description: Our day will begin as a book club with a fun collaborative project to respond to the literature. We will also review the second grade math standards, and wrap up each day learning how to knit a scarf for a beloved stuffed animal.

Description: This class will focus on strengthening and solidifying essential grade level reading, writing, and math skills. While a core component of each day will be working on foundational skills, we will also have a special activity every day, like art and PE games. 

Additional notes: Evidence-based reading, writing, and math intervention strategies will be used to help students continue to develop and practice grade-level academic skills.

Description: Calling all 4th and 5th grade students!  Come join Mr. Francisco and Dr. Gradias for a week of engineering, design, and FUN as you build a longboard from the ground up!  In this week-long camp, you will put your math and tech skills to use as you construct and build a custom longboard.  Graphic design, woodworking, and problem solving will be key components of this integrated project-based learning adventure.

To sign up for the Extended Program Dolphin Club your child must be registered for a Summer School Session.
