COLD SPRING CHORUS SPREADS HOLIDAY CHEER

The Cold Spring School Chorus spread holiday cheer this afternoon as they "decked the halls" for the residents of Villa Santa Barbara.  This was a great opportunity for our young people to give back to the community by sharing their voices.  Their performance was upbeat and they sang very well!  The residents particularly loved the tune: "Cool Santa" which featured Hugh Diehl tap-dancing!  Ms. DiSalvo was delighted to see the students greet the residents after the performance and this quote by one of the audience members summed up the performance rather nicely:  "They sounded excellent AND they were really sweet too!"

STUDENT POETRY

I am very thankful to our Parent Club for sponsoring a third through sixth grade poetry residency with Christine Kravetz.  During the residency, Christine worked closely with the teachers and students to support poetry writing in the classroom.  After the students completed their poems, Mr. Garfield, our Technology Specialist, taught sixth grade students how to use Adobe Spark to create compelling videos that involved their poems.  I encourage you all to click the links below where you can view our sixth-grade student poetry videos.
